Coleen's revenge! Tense Wayne Rooney can't muster a smile as he takes his mother-in-law shopping

Day out: Wayne Rooney was accompanied by wife Coleen's mother Colette McLoughlin on a shopping trip in Wilmslow, Cheshire

He's been in the headlines for months following allegations about his infidelity.
But now Coleen Rooney has sought revenge on husband Wayne, sending him on a shopping trip with her mother Colette McLoughlin.

The Manchester United footballer was spotted looking tense as he walked to his car slightly ahead of Colette, who also failed to muster a smile for photographers.

Tense: But neither Wayne nor Colette managed to muster a smile for the cameras

However, despite their glum faces, the shopping trip earlier this week had clearly been a success, with Wayne gallantly carrying several Marks & Spencer bags for Mrs McLoughlin.

The pair's day out comes after Coleen decided to give Wayne another chance following a 'second honeymoon' to Prague where they worked on their marriage.

Coleen was left devastated last month after prostitute Jennifer Thompson claimed she had enjoyed three-in-a-bed sex sessions with Rooney while Coleen was five months pregnant with their son Kai, who turns one next month.

Happy-go-lucky: Wayne looked much happier on the set of the advert

However, after being ruled out of football for three weeks with an injury, Wayne decided to accompany Coleen on her work trip to Prague to attempt to sort things out in private.

'Wayne wants this trip to be like a second honeymoon,' a source told the Sunday Mirror.

'He is desperate to make it up to Coleen and a break away is exactly what they need.'
And the trip has clearly worked because as well as spending time with Colette, Wayne and Coleen were seen smiling and looking close as they dined out and enjoyed drinks around the Czech capital after Coleen's days of photo shoots for Littlewoods.
